Morning Birdsong Blanket

(mmm-mmm) The kettle hums before the day begins

Sunlight spilling quiet on the floor

Leave your heavy worries at the door

Breathe in slow, breathe out again

Rest your head,

the world can wait a while

Every little

shadow fades away

Softly now,

step into the light of day

Rest your head,

you're safe right here

Branches sway against the window glass

Time moves sweet and easy through the room

Every little flower learned to bloom

Let the restless winter softly pass

(mmm-mmm,

sleep now) (la-la, la-la,

rest

now) (hmmm)
