Morning sunbeams, golden and bright
Woke up Elfina, fluffy and white
She stretched her paws,
a slow yawn too
Then looked for Milo,
who was sleeping through
A fuzzy ball of ginger stray Ready for a purrfect day Meow,
meow, what should we do?
Let’s chase the sunbeams,
me and you!
Oh, it’s a purrfect day for a kitty cat nap In the
cozy corner on a warm,
soft lap
Elfina is wiggling, Milo is purring Not a single thing is stirring
Catching dreams of string and mice
A kitty-cat life is very nice Purr… purr… purr…
Elfina found a ribbon of blue
Milo decided to pounce on it too
Tumble and roll on the kitchen floor Then run to the window
to watch out the door A butterfly landed!
Oh, what a sight!
They stared at the wonder with all of their might Then wiggled
their tails in the soft green grass Watching the birdies and butterflies
pass.

Then it was time for a tasty treat
Salmon and cream, the best on the street
They licked their paws,
and cleaned their fur Then sat on the sofa,
starting to purr
A deep, soft rumble,
a soothing sound The happiest kitties to be found.
The sun goes down,
the moon is high
Stars are shining
in the sky
Elfina and Milo curled up in a ball The sleepiest,
loveliest kitties of all.
