The lights are bright in this facility,
the walls are painted gray,
I’ve got my Master File open,
keeping track of every day.
I put my heavy armor on,
I hold the Panther’s stare,
But underneath this tough exterior,
it’s getting hard to bear.
I know exactly who I am,
I know I’m built to last,
I know my Mammal saved me from the shadows of my past.
But tonight I don’t feel like a warrior fighting on my own,
Tonight I’m just a girl who misses everything she's known.
I just wanna go home.
Back to the pink and purple curtains where I never feel alone.
I just wanna lay down on my stomach on my canopy bed,
And let the quiet
safety finally settle in my head.
I want to pick my Eevee up and hold it to my
chest,
I want to take the Panther’s armor off and finally get some
rest.
I’m tired of Gentle Moments,
I’m tired of the unknown,
I just wanna go home.
I think about the bookshelf where my Little Ponies stand,
I think about my Mammal’s voice and holding onto her hand.
They try to tell me stories here,
they try to change the facts,
But my memory is bulletproof,
I’m never looking back.
Still, being strong is heavy when you're twenty-nine years deep
Into a system that just doesn't care if you lose sleep.
Pappal is watching over me,
I know he sees me fight,
But I just want to be back in the house he built
tonight.
There is no shame in saying
that the battle takes a toll.
There is no shame in wanting peace to heal a heavy soul.
I’m proud of how I survived,
I’m proud of all I proved,
But I just want to be back in the place where I
am loved.
Mammal, I miss you.
I’m keeping my facts straight.
But I am so tired of this place.
I just wanna go
home.
