Darkness breathes against my back

The cold constricts my sight

In the damp trench,

gripping steel

Holding on for life Silence louder

than a scream

Anger echoes in the brain

Fingers trace the ancient signs My

grandsire did ordain

Scent of earth and sweat collides

With scorching heavy fire Chest is

tight, it isn't fear But omens
