Sofa Siesta Serenade
Sunlight stretches across the floor
Creeping past the parlor door
Tiny paws curled soft and deep
Tucked inside an afternoon of sleep
Little whiskers twitching in their dreams
Resting on the velvet seams
Not a worry,
not a care
Just two kittens sleeping there
(softly purring)
A yawn unfolds in velvet space
A ginger chin on calico
face
Heavy eyelids, peaceful sighs
Watching dust motes slowly rise
Time slows down upon the rug
Curled into a woolen hug (mm-mm)
The whole wide world can drift away
Little whiskers twitching in their dreams
Resting on the velvet seams
Not a worry,
not a care
Just two kittens sleeping there (yeah)
Resting on the sofa cushion
Safe and warm (purrrr)
