The king rejoices in Your power,
Lord, And shouts with gladness for the wins You send,
Drawing his strength from Your Eternal Hoard.
You granted what his eager heart implored,
Withholding naught that on his lips was found,
By Your grace answered and by grace restored.
With rich and lovely blessings You are crowned,
His coming steps, and on his royal head,
A crown of purest gold You set around.
He asked for life where quiet waters spread,
And You supplied a never-ending breath,
Length of all days where Heavenly Lights are shed.
Through Your great triumphs and the vanquished death,
His glory rises in a high estate;
Splendor and majesty are clothing raith.
Unending blessings make his spirit great,
And gladness fills him with Your never-ending Grace,
Rejoicing at Your holy,
brilliant Gate.
Because he trusts the Lord of Time and Space,
And knows the steadfast love of God on High,
He stands unshaken in that saving grace.
Your Hand will find where lurking shadows lie,
And seize Your foes with strong and iron might;
None can escape as Your Right Arm draws nigh.
When You step forth to enter in the fight,
A blazing furnace burns them to the ground;
The wrath of God consumes them in Your sight.
Their seed and offspring scattered with no sound,
Shall perish from the living earth and sea,
With not a root or remnant left around.
Though wicked schemes and plots against You be,
Devised in darkness by the rebel mind,
They fail and shatter and are forced to flee.
For You will make them leave
their post behind, And turn their backs when Your drawn bow is
bent,
Leaving no target for their shafts to find.
Be lifted high in strength and wonder blent,
O Lord our God,
in power unconfined;
With song and praise our voices now are spent.
