but it starts in me

Not a law, not a sign,

not a policy

It's a choice I

make when I wake up each day

Every word that I speak,

every step that I take

I've seen too much pain,

I've cried too many tears

I've lost my own blood,

faced my deepest fears But I'm still standing,

I'm still here

And I'm choosing peace—let me make it clear

I pledge to be

nonviolent Respect my body,

protect the Earth

Learn something new—to be all I can be

This world is my body too—I must protect the ocean and the

shores The plastic,

the cans—I won't litter no

more.

I will live simple and clean Reduce and recycle,

save every drop. Keep waterways clean so the beauty won't stop

Manage my time and my money with care.

Don't lose your child to the streets...

are you dealing with sadness and hopelessness about your sons or daughters

lost to death?
