A crack in the canvas,
a tear in the sky
The heavens grow heavy,
the mountain tops cry A blinding flash hits the edge of the
world As fingers of lightning unfurled Pure kinetic power,
no warning, no wait An instant decision that seals every fate From
clouds made of iron and gray The lightning bolt strikes and converts
night to day A fraction of second,
a million white volts The valley awakes to the shock of the
bolts It splits down the ancient oak tree to its core Unleashing
a force never witnessed before
Lightning bolts crashing, setting skies ablaze Fire on the mountain,
cutting through the haze Twin elemental powers of fury and light Turning
the darkness to blinding and bright Born of the tempest,
ignited below
Watch as the wildfire
begins to grow!
The heat of the flash sparks an ember in moss A moment
of impact, a gain and a loss The spark catches leaf,
then it catches the pine A flicker of life on a dangerous
line From one single strike of the sky-driven spark A river of
embers now cuts through the dark
The fire ascends to the top of the trees Carried along on
a blistering breeze It consumes every barrier,
breaks every lock And turns all the granite back into red rock
A sea of bright crimson,
a furnace of heat Where sky-born electricity and ground-fire meet!
Sky light, wild fire!
Climbing higher and higher!
One came from heaven with speed like a dart
One rose from earth with a burning red heart!
Together they shatter, together they mend The start of creation masquerading as
end!
Lightning bolts striking, fire takes its place
Scorching the earth with a fierce embrace!
Born of the tempest,
ignited below
Watch as the wildfire begins to grow!
Up in the clouds,
where the storm continues to win! (yeah!)
