Pets Please
(huh-huh-huh-huh) Eighty pounds of golden fur and heavy sighs
Staring at me with those huge devoted eyes
You're a German Shepherd,
built so wide and tall
But you act just like a tiny tennis ball
Now you're leaning all your weight against my knee
Begging for some sweet attention,
legally
Oh, you're starting up a quiet little whimper now (ooooh)
Oh, El, you chunky boy,
you need those pets!
Give you all the scratches that a good dog gets
Heavy-duty cuddles, scratching behind your ears Our favorite fluffy giant of the
passing years
Rolling on the rug and waving paws in the air
Leaving little drifts of silver-brownish hair
You don't care about your diet,
you just want a rub
A ninety-pound protector who is just a baby club
Oh, El, you chunky boy,
you need those pets!
Give you all the scratches that a good dog gets
Heavy-duty cuddles, scratching behind your ears Our favorite fluffy giant of the
passing years
If I stop for just a second,
you will nudge my hand
The most demanding cuddler in the entire land Yeah,
you demand it!
(pet me now!)
Oh, El, you chunky boy,
you need those pets!
Give you all the scratches that a good dog gets
Heavy-duty cuddles, scratching behind your ears Our favorite fluffy giant of the
passing years
Good boy, El (who is a good boy?)
Yeah, get those pets
