There’s a little flower by the garden gate,
Growing through the cracks where the earth is dry.
It doesn’t know the beauty it creates,
Or how it makes the world feel more alive.
The morning sun comes dancing through the trees,
And paints its petals golden in the light.
And in the gentle breeze,
I hear a love that holds me through the night.
If He can paint the morning sky,
And make the smallest seedling rise,
Then maybe I can trust Him too,
To help me find my
way through.
He knows every flower,
every leaf upon the ground,
Every little seed that grows without a sound.
And if He gives the roses sunshine after rain,
He will hold me through my worries,
through my joy and pain.
I don't have to hurry,
I don't have to be afraid,
He can see the beauty
in the person He has made.
Like a flower reaching upward to the blue,
I'll keep on growing in His love,
knowing He'll see me through.
Some flowers bloom in springtime,
some in June,
Some wait a little longer for their day.
The garden doesn't ask them all to bloom,
It lets them grow in their own special way.
So when I see the world moving so fast,
And wonder if I'm falling far behind,
I'll remember that His love is built
to last, And He has a beautiful plan in mind.
He knows the seasons I can't see,
The person I'm becoming,
patiently. And even when I don't know where to go,
His love is one thing I can always know.
Even when the petals fall,
Even when I feel so small,
I am never out of sight,
I am held within His light.
And when the winter winds blow cold,
I'll trust the hands that still hold hope.
For every ending, every start,
God is growing something in my heart.
He knows every flower,
every star up in the sky,
Every silent prayer I whisper when I cry.
And though I may not know the road I'm travelling through,
I can face tomorrow knowing He
is faithful and true.
I don't have to hurry,
I can bloom in my own time,
For the Maker of the flowers has a purpose for my life.
Like a flower reaching upward to the blue,
I'll keep on growing in His love,
knowing He'll see me through.
So let the flowers grow,
Let the cool spring breezes blow.
There's a love that won't let go…
And He knows every flower.
(He knows every flower...)
