The Uptown Brass - Christmas Day Parade

Hear the drums around the corner Hear the trumpets start to play

There’s a little bit of magic Rolling down the street today Put

your coat on, grab your neighbor Come on out and join the

crowd Christmas morning’s hit the pavement And it’s getting pretty loud!

It’s the Christmas Day Parade!

Everybody’s on the way!

Trumpets ringing, drums are pounding People dancing in the street today!

It’s the Christmas Day Parade!

Come on out and celebrate!

If you’re sitting by the window You’re already running late!

There’s a marching band of elves With a drummer twice their size

There’s a float made out of candy And a giant Santa flies

Little kids are waving mittens Grandma’s dancing with the mayor And somebody’s

dressed as Rudolph But nobody knows who they are!

It’s the Christmas Day Parade!

Everybody’s on the way!

Trumpets ringing, drums are pounding People dancing in the street today!

It’s the Christmas Day Parade!

Come on out and celebrate!

If you’re sitting by the window You’re already running late!

(Everybody ready?) (READY!) (Drummers

ready?) (READY!) (Horns ready?) (READY!) (Then let’s go!)

From the corner to the courthouse From the schoolhouse to

the square Every window’s got a face in it Everybody’s going somewhere

There’s no hurry, there’s no schedule There’s no place we have to

be

Today the whole town’s walking To the same old melody

It’s the Christmas Day Parade!

Everybody’s on the way!

Trumpets ringing, drums are pounding People dancing in the street today!

It’s the Christmas Day Parade!

Raise your voices, don’t be late!

Wave to everybody passing And keep marching through the day!

It’s the Christmas Day Parade!

Hear the whole town celebrate!

Christmas came outside this morning And it couldn’t wait!

(HEY!) (MERRY CHRISTMAS!)
