From Baseline to Kitchen
I used to live out on the court,
Chasing every ball, always wanting more.
A racket in my hand,
with my eyes on the line,
Working on my serve,
one point at a time.
From the baseline, I learned to fight,
Running down winners from left to right.
But life had a new game waiting for me,
A little plastic ball and a brand-new dream!
Then I heard that paddle pop,
Stepped on the court and I couldn't stop.
Smaller court, but the passion stayed,
Found a whole new game,
and I'm here to play!
I went from the baseline to the kitchen,
Now I'm dinking, driving,
and I'm on a mission!
From a tennis serve to a pickleball smash,
Making new friends and having a blast!
Paddle in my hand,
got my game turned up,
Every single match, I'm filling my cup.
I may have changed the court,
but the fire's still the same,
From tennis to pickleball — I'm loving this game! (woo!)
Now it's six to nine,
under Florida skies,
At Davie Pickleball, where the good times rise.
SoFlo crew coming out to play,
Laughing, competing, making memories every day.
Third-shot drops and a quick hands battle,
Everybody's swinging at that little plastic rattle.
Win or lose, we're all out there,
Building friendships and showing we care!
From the forehand topspin to a backhand dink,
This game has got me quicker than I think!
One more rally, one more shot,
Tell me how I'm supposed to stop!
