Steel Hands Rising

He's Kenneth, fifty-six years on this ground

Heavy iron, heavy oil,

making us proud (yeah)

Working out in the Texas sun

Where the oil flows and the hard work's done

Fifty-six years, but he's standing tall

Heavy iron weights, he can lift them all

(oh yeah)

Kenneth lifts the weight of the world

Two proud kids, a boy and a girl

From the oilfields to the powerlifting rack

Got a heart of steel

and an honest track (oh-oh-oh)

He's got two kids he raised up right

To find their way

in the morning light

For them he sweats,

for them he strives

To give them both the best of lives

Kenneth lifts the weight of the world

Two proud kids, a boy and a girl

From the oilfields to the powerlifting rack

Got a heart of steel

and an honest track (yeah!)

Fifty-six years,

Kenneth stands proud (mmmmm)
