(hummmm) Fret not for the vile,
Envy not the ones who stray
Down a wicked path.
Like the summer grass,
They will quickly fade and brown,
Withering away.
Trust the Lord, do good,
Dwell secure upon the land,
Feeding peacefully.
Find your deep delight,
Joy in God will grant the prayers
Hidden in your heart. (ahhhh)
Evildoers fall,
But the ones who hope in God
Inherit the earth.
Soon the cruel fade,
Though you search the places through,
They cannot be found.
Yield your path to Him,
Place your total trust in God,
He will see it through.
Righteousness will dawn,
Shining like the morning sun,
Bright as perfect noon.
Sinners plot and scheme,
Gnash their teeth in bitter spite At the righteous soul.
Heaven looks below,
Laughing at their fragile plans— Knowing Judgment comes.
Rest before the Lord,
Wait in patience while the flawed Prosper in their plots.
Humble souls prevail,
They inherit all the land,
Reaping silent peace. (hummmm)
