Kitten Negotiation

(giggle) Mommy, come

look over

here...

Behind the glass there is a tiny nose

Pink little ears and fuzzy white toes

She looked right up and she waved her paw

Mommy, it’s the sweetest thing I ever saw

I know what you're gonna say Pets take work every single day

But I promise I will feed her

Every morning right on time And she’ll sleep on my pillow

Curled right next to mine

Can we keep her,

please, oh please?

Look at those green eyes looking at me!

I'll clean up the toys,

I won't cause a fight

I will tuck her in warm every night

Mommy say yes,

just look at that face

She belongs in our happy place!

(please mommy, please)

She doesn't take up any room at all

Smaller than my favorite bouncy ball

I'll name her Cupcake or Jellybean

And you'll be the best mom the world's ever seen

See, she's purring through the glass

Asking if we'll take her home at last

Just touch her little paw through the pane...

She will never be lonely again

Can we keep her,

please, oh please?

Look at those green eyes looking at me!

I'll clean up the toys,

I won't cause a fight

I will tuck her in warm every night

Mommy say yes,

just look at that face

She belongs in our happy place!

You smiled... does that mean yes?

(we're taking you home,

Cupcake)
