Engine No More
1, 2, ready to
change...
You're looking at the showroom floor
Still chasing what they made before
But there is a quieter road ahead Leave all the fumes and
the heavy lead
The calendar says twenty-twenty-four
Why are you opening that ancient door?
Oh, the math is so simple,
the choice is so clear (so
clear) Why are you
holding onto that old gear?
No, it isn't okay to buy anything
With an engine in this day and age!
EVs have been ready to go mainstream Since twenty-seventeen,
let's turn the page!
If you buy with an engine,
you're a climate criminal now They save us money,
cheaper running costs are how!
There is no excuse to be stuck in the past
(stuck in the past!)
Maintenance is zero, no oil to change
No worrying about the battery range
You're paying for gas just to burn up the sky
When the cleaner alternative's passing you by
Compare the price, yeah,
the savings are real
Take the future by the wheel!
Oh, the math is so simple,
the choice is so clear (so
clear) Why are you
holding onto that old gear?
No, it isn't okay to buy anything
With an engine in this day and age!
EVs have been ready to go mainstream Since twenty-seventeen,
let's turn the page!
If you buy with an engine,
you're a climate criminal now They save us money,
cheaper running costs are how!
There is no excuse to be stuck in the past
(stuck in the past!)
No more excuses... (no more,
no more)
Don't be
stuck in the
past
