Write Your Word
O God of all creation,
You who spoke to Moses,
You who wrote Your commandments on tablets of stone,
Today, I come before You.
Lord, I don't want Your Word to remain only on the pages
of a book.
I want Your truth to live inside my heart.
Write Your Word within me,
O God.
On the mountain, Moses stood before You,
In the silence, he received Your Word.
Two stone tablets You placed in his hands,
Written by Your finger,
according to Your plan.
Your holy words revealed the way,
A light to guide us every day.
O Lord, I long to hear Your voice,
To walk in truth and make You my choice.
Write Your Word upon my heart,
Lord, keep me close to You.
Never let this world lead me away
From everything You say is true.
Write Your Word upon my heart,
Let Your light shine through my soul.
Just as You wrote upon the stones,
Write Your love and make me whole.
I don't want to walk without Your guidance,
I don't want to live outside Your presence.
When the road is difficult to see,
Let Your holy Word keep guiding me.
Give me a heart that's willing to obey,
Give me wisdom to follow Your way.
When the voices of this world grow loud,
Let me hear Your voice above the crowd.
Write Your Word upon my heart,
Lord, keep me close to You.
(Keep me close, Lord) Never let this world lead me away
From everything You say is true.
Write Your Word upon my heart,
Let Your light shine through my soul.
Just as You wrote upon the stones,
Write Your love and make me whole.
Your Word is truth!
(Write it in my heart!) Your Word is light!
(Shine upon my path!) I will follow You!
(Guide me, Lord, today!) I will trust Your voice!
(Forever and always!) (Forever and always!)
Write on me, Lord...
Write Your Word within me...
Change my heart, Lord...
Make me
who You want me to be...
I open up my heart to You,
I place my whole life in Your hands.
Not my will, but Yours be done,
Let my life fulfill Your plans.
Write on me, Jesus...
Write on me, Jesus...
Let Your Word live in me.
Write Your Word upon my heart,
Lord, I will remain close to You.
With every breath, I'll worship You,
With all my life,
I'll honor You. (Honor You!) Write Your Word upon my heart,
Let it guide me through my days.
O God, my life belongs to You,
Forever I will walk in Your ways!
You wrote Your Word upon the stones...
And now I
pray, dear Lord,
Let Your Word take root within my soul.
Write Your
Word... Write Your Word...
Upon my heart, Lord Jesus.
Amen... Amen...
