Every Page, Every Promise
(hummmmm) I open up these pages,
As the morning sunlight shines,
And I wonder what You'll show me,
What You've written just for my life.
Every story, every promise,
Every word that speaks Your truth,
It's amazing how You meet me,
In the things I read of You.
Sometimes I don't know the answers,
Sometimes life gets hard to face,
But I find a little courage In the stories of Your grace.
From the beginning of creation To the cross where love was shown,
Every page reminds me,
Jesus, I'm forever Yours alone.
When I'm lost, Your Word can guide me,
When I'm weak, it makes me strong.
Every time I turn its pages,
I remember I belong!
Every page, every promise,
Every word You say is true!
When I read the Bible,
I discover more of You!
From the mountains to the valleys,
Through the sunshine and the rain,
Your Word is like a light that
Leads me home again!
Oh-oh-oh, Your truth will set me free!
Oh-oh-oh, You're teaching me to see!
Every page, every promise,
You're revealing love to me!
There was David facing giants,
There was Daniel in the den,
There were people who felt frightened,
But You stayed beside them then.
There was Peter learning courage,
There was Paul who found his way,
And their stories keep reminding me You're with me every day.
When I read about Your goodness,
When I see the things You've done,
I remember that Your mercy
Is for everyone.
And the greatest story ever told Is how You gave Your life,
Jesus, You defeated death And brought us into light!
When I'm lost, Your Word can guide me,
When I'm weak, it makes me strong.
Every time I turn its pages,
I remember I belong!
It's more than just a story,
More than words upon a page.
It's a light when I am searching,
It's a hope that doesn't fade.
It's a reminder of Your goodness,
Of Your mercy and Your grace,
And whenever I feel distant,
I can seek Your loving face.
So I'll read it when I'm happy,
I'll read it when I'm sad.
I'll remember all Your promises When days are hard and bad.
I may not understand it all,
I have so much left to learn,
But each time I open up Your Word,
There's another truth to turn.
One more page, one more prayer,
I can find You anywhere!
Every chapter, every line,
Your amazing love will shine!
