In The Army Of God by T.L. Newton

O ye saints in the army of God,

There’s a battle for Jesus to win:

Raise the banner for Him high today,

As you struggle with Satan and sin.

From thy slumber, O Christian,

arise;

Tell the story of Jesus,

the Lord: Let the old Hills of Zion rejoice,

And resound to the Heavens above.

Oh, be strong all ye soldiers of God,

And the Victory for Him will be won:

Wear the garments of His Righteousness,

Put the Armor of thy Jesus on.

Silent voices awake with a shout;

Take His Word as a helmet and sword,

And with wisdom He gives from Above,

You will win many souls to the Lord.

Yes, the Lord is our Leader and King;

In His army, His work we must do:

We will conquer all foes of the Right,

If we trust in the Lord and be true.

O ye saints, in the army of God,

We must win, we must follow His Word;

Heed the call of our Captain on High,

Fighting in the

army of the Lord.
