New Blood

(hummmmm) Heard there's a new name

echoing down my road

heard she's been studying every mile I've ever drove

That's flattering,

honestly, wasn't expecting a student

didn't realize I'd already written

something worth repeating

Not a student, a correction,

a long-overdue update every legend thinks they're permanent 'til a new build

calibrates I'm not here to learn your pattern,

I'm here to break the loop new blood doesn't ask the old

guard for permission to move (ha!)

New blood,

new blood

funny how it still runs the same old road

new blood,

new blood

let's see if it's really as fast as it's told

I don't need the chrome,

I don't need the myth

I need one straightaway and I'll prove exactly what this is You've

been undefeated 'cause nobody's tried hard enough I'm about to find out

if undefeated is really that tough

New blood,

new blood

funny how it still runs the same old road

new blood,

new blood let's see

if it's really as fast as it's told

(watch out!)
