"Be Still, Know I Am” (Psalm 46)

We will feel no fear,

Though the shifting earth give way Into roaring seas.

Though the waters foam,

And the quaking mountains shake At the surging deep. (hummmmm)

God is our refuge,

Ever-present, strong and true,

Help in troubled times.

God is with us now,

Lord Almighty is our shield,

Jacob’s fortress strong.

A glad river flows,

Streaming through the holy place Where the Most High dwells.

God is found within,

She will stand and never fall,

Helped at break of day.

Venite, opera Domini cernite,

Mirabilia quae

fecit videte,

Compescens cunctam terram.

«Vacate, et cognoscite ego sum»,

Super gentes excelsus elevatus,

Dominus totius terrae.

Nations rage and fall,

When He lifts His mighty voice,

All the planet melts.

He makes warfare cease,

Breaks the bow and snaps the spear,

Burning shields with fire.

Come, behold His works,

See the wonders He has done,

Stilling all the earth.

“Be still, know I am,”

Highest over nations raised,

Lord of all the earth. (ahhhh)
