The static in my head is getting loud
Another day of letting down the crowd
I catch my own reflection in the glass
And pray this heavy breathing is my
last
My mind is tangled up in five degrees
Of diagnoses and anxieties
A broken compass in a stormy brain
Just swallowing the pills to numb the pain
And I
hate the way I look,
the way I speak
I hate that every part of me
is weak
But most of all,
I hate
the family tree
And the man who carved his bitterness in me
He looks at me
and only sees mistakes
A mirror image of the heart he breaks
He gave me his eyes,
his temper, and his name
Then left me here to suffocated in the shame
I scream his name into an empty room
The architect of all this heavy gloom
He taught me how to hate the things I do
Now
I am turning into him,
it's true
The corner start to grow
A quiet place where I just want to go
To turn the lights out,
finally find some peace
