I had
a whole plan for tonight.
It was a really good plan,
too. Anyway…
Had a date with my washing machine
Eight o’clock and a documentary
Hair in a towel,
feet on the couch
Had my whole little evening worked out Then my best friend called
around nine-fifteen Said, “You won’t believe who I just seen!” I said,
“Don’t tell me, I don’t wanna know” She said,
“Girl, put something decent on!” One shoe on,
one shoe off Common sense is taking off I should probably stay
right here
But somebody just said,
“We’re near!”
Pretty bad decisions! Looking mighty good tonight Got a little voice saying,
“Don’t you dare!” And another saying,
“Honey, why?” Pretty bad decisions!
Got me dancing out of line I know exactly what I’m doing
wrong And I’m having such a good time!

Met a boy with a crooked grin Said he
played guitar in a wedding band
Had a tattoo of his grandma’s cat
And I thought, “Well,
how about that?” He said,
“Wanna
see the sunrise?” I said,
“Baby, it’s only midnight!” He said,
“That’s what
makes it fun” I said,
“Lord, here comes another one!” Phone’s at two percent Don’t know where
my jacket went My best friend says,
“You alright?” I said,
“Ask me tomorrow night!”

I got good credit And sensible shoes
