Word Made Soul
DJ Wizz on the track.
Good morning, everybody.
Before there was a heaven,
before there was an earth,
before there was you and me…
There was the Word.
Thank You, Yahweh, for Your love,
Your mercy,
and Your everlasting light.
This one’s for everybody walking by faith.
In the beginning was the Word,
Before a single voice was heard.
The Word was there with Yahweh,
Before the night, before the day.
Through Him, all creation came,
Every mountain, every drop of rain.
He gave us life,
He gave us light,
A love that shines through the darkest night.
In the beginning was the Word,
The greatest truth we’ve ever heard.
Yahweh, Your light will always shine,
Your love will stand through endless time.
Oh, let Your glory shine on me,
Open my heart so I can see.
No darkness can put out Your light,
Yahweh, You make everything right.
Yahweh sent John to testify,
To tell the world the light was nigh.
He wasn’t the light,
he came to say,
The true light was coming to show the way.
The Word came down into this land,
But many didn’t understand.
Some turned away, some chose to believe,
And through their faith,
new life received.
In the beginning was the Word,
The greatest truth we’ve ever heard.
Yahweh, Your light will always shine,
Your love will stand through endless time.
Oh, let Your glory shine on me,
Open my heart so I can see.
No darkness can put out Your light,
Yahweh, You make everything right.
The Word became flesh and walked among us,
Full of grace and full of truth.
The Father’s glory shining through Him,
Bringing hope to me and you.
Through Moses came the holy law,
Through Jesus Christ came grace and truth.
The Son revealed the Father’s heart,
And showed the world His love from the start.
One blessing after another,
Yahweh, You keep making a way.
When darkness tries to surround me,
Your light still shines today.
I’m a child of the Most High,
By Your grace, I’ve been made new.
Every day, I lift my hands,
Giving all my praise to You.
In the beginning was the Word!
Before the heavens and the earth!
Your light keeps shining!
Your love keeps guiding!
No darkness can put it out!
That’s what Your Word is all about!
Yahweh, I give You praise!
For Your mercy and Your grace!
In the beginning
was the Word.
The Word became flesh.
And the light
still shines.
Thank You, Yahweh.
