Three Little Chameleons

Yeah…

This one's for the little ones I still remember.

Three tiny lives… Three little chameleons… And a heart

that didn't know how much it could hurt.

I remember looking at you,

watching you climb, Little tiny feet,

you were part of my life.

Three little chameleons, three little souls,

You made my world brighter wherever you’d go.

Then one day everything

suddenly changed,

The room felt

different, nothing felt the

same. I prayed for you,

I cried for you too,

Wishing there was something more I could do.

I held onto memories,

held

onto your name, Even

though you're gone, love stays the same.

People might say, “Time

will

make

it okay,” But I still remember you every single

day.

And Mom saw my tears,

she knew I was hurting,

She didn't need words,

she just kept comforting.

She hugged me close and kissed my head,

Stayed right beside me when I needed her best.

THREE LITTLE CHAMELEONS, FLYING IN MY MEMORY,

YOU MAY BE GONE,

BUT YOU’RE STILL A PART OF ME!

I CRIED, I PRAYED,

I CALLED OUT YOUR NAMES,

LOVE DOESN’T DISAPPEAR JUST BECAUSE LIFE CHANGES!

THREE LITTLE CHAMELEONS, I’LL NEVER FORGET,

EVERY LITTLE MOMENT, EVERY LITTLE STEP.

I WISH I COULD HOLD YOU ONE MORE TIME,

BUT I’LL CARRY YOU WITH ME FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!

Mom works hard, yeah,

she's always on the move,

Taking care of three kids,

doing everything she can do.

Pet-sitting dogs through Rover,

working every day, Giving love to a thousand dogs along the way.

She’s tired sometimes, but she still stands tall,

Somehow she keeps giving everything to us all.

And when I was hurting,

she didn't walk away,

She hugged me and kissed me through the whole entire day.

Morning turned to afternoon,

afternoon turned to night,

She stayed right there until the darkness filled the sky.

She didn't have to fix it,

she just stayed by my side,

And somehow that made the sadness a little easier to fight.

And Dad came home from deployment,

finally back again, But he's stationed in Virginia,

so it's hard to see him.

Only getting moments together,

maybe twice in the week,

So sometimes I miss him more than I can speak.

But Dad, you're still my hero,

even when you're far,

No matter where you're stationed,

you're never really far.

And Mom, you're incredible,

I hope you know it's true,

You carry so much love in everything you do.

Dear God,

Thank You for giving me the chance to know these little lives.

Thank You for every moment I got to spend with them,

every little movement, every memory,

every day. Please watch over my three little chameleons.

Let them rest peacefully.

And when I miss them,

help me remember the love instead of only the sadness.

I may have to say goodbye today,

but I don't have to forget them.

Their lives mattered to me.

Their memories matter to me.

And the love I had for them will always be part of

my heart.

Amen.

one ruby python, One carpet python,

yeah, I'm learning how to love,

Learning that every little life is something to be proud of.

One month later…

I thought I'd think of them again.

I CRIED FOR YOU!

I SAID YOUR NAMES TO THE SKY!

AND EVEN THOUGH I HAD TO LET YOU GO,

YOUR MEMORY WILL NEVER DIE!

MOM HELD ME CLOSE!

DAD CAME HOME!
