Peace Begins With Me

Nonviolence begins with me.

It’s not a club,

it’s not a trend It’s a decision I make again and again

A daily choice for the world to see

To be a Non-Violent-Person,

starting with me.

To my own body,

I will bring no harm No drugs,

No alcohol, No cigarettes,

No Hate

To others, I give my words and my hands

To build them up,

to help them stand.

I am NVP!

Hear my voice! Nonviolence is my daily choice!

From my heart, to the world outside

I will walk in peace,

with my head held high! (yeah)

I say it out loud,

I don’t hide away

Words have power, every time I say

A covenant with God,

a promise to be

The change I want in my family.

I wear the NVP band upon my wrist

A soldier of peace,

I won’t resist

Camo colors, a flag of hope

Helping my brothers and sisters cope.

I lost my grandson,

I couldn't save him then

But I can save others,

again and again

No more child lost to the dark

Not one more life.

For Baby Adam, I take this stand With every child across the

land

When you wear this band,

you join me too

You say: "No more violence,

I will see it through."
