Burning Earth Anthem
Glowing lamps flicker on the empty street,
We are chasing figures where the truth is sweet.
But look outside, the air is thick with smoke,
We are paying the bill for every broken lock.
You say, "It is too big,
I am just one drop,"
But that is a story we tell to make it stop.
Every engine idling, every coal that burns,
Is a countdown ticking as the planet turns.
Don't hide behind the silence!
Don't let the apathy win!
We are playing with the fire,
Letting the future begin...
To end!
It's not acceptable to be a Climate Criminal!
You can't just breathe in,
you can't just stand still!
It's not acceptable to be a Climate Criminal!
Polluting the air is a moral fatal!
No smoke, no fume,
no trace of shame!
Every breath we take is a sacred name!
It's not acceptable!
It's not acceptable! Be a Climate Criminal?
NO WAY! They say,
"My actions are a drop in the ocean,"
But millions of drops cause the flood to grow.
It is a copout,
a convenient excuse, While the ice sheets crumble and the oceans lose.
For decades we waited,
for decades we froze,
Saying "It is too late" is what the crisis knows.
Now the tipping point is here,
don't you see?
Irreversible damage, what a tragedy!
Don't hide behind the silence!
Don't let the apathy win!
We are playing with the fire,
Letting the future begin...
To end!
This climate crisis...
isn't just one man's fault.
It's caused by the inaction...
in every heart.
Everyone with an engine...
Everyone who burns stuff...
Is part of the storm.
And saying you can't make a difference?
That's the reason we missed the chance!
Decades to go...
irreversible change! But it's not too late to change the dance!
Cut the engine, let the diesel die,
Let the clean air rise into the sky!
No more complacent, no more "wait and see," Take personal action,
set humanity free! If all life on Earth is destined to perish,
Then it's our inaction,
not the weather, that is the blusher!
So stop the pollution,
stop the waste,
Take your place!
NO WAY!
Not acceptable!
(Hey!) Not acceptable! (Ho!) Take action!
(Right now!) Protect the Earth!
Not a Climate Criminal!
