Checked the lock again,

tracing the seam

Trapped inside a repetitive dream

My chest is heavy,

a mountain of lead

Just trying to outrun the voice in my head (mmmmm)

And the static starts to hum

Now the room is still,

But the shadows are long

I count the steps till the floorboards align
