Chosen for His Grace,
A land blessed by Heaven’s Hand,
His own heritage.
Gazing from the Skies,
The Lord looks upon all men,
Open to His Eyes.
From His Dwelling Place,
He observes the earth below,
Watching every face.
He who formed each heart,
Weighs the work of every hand,
Knowing every part.
Waiting on the
Lord,
He is our defense and shield,
Truer than a sword.
Rejoicing in Him,
Trusting in His Holy Name,
Even when lights dim.
Let unfailing love
Rest upon us as we hope
In the God above.
No great army saves,
Nor the warrior’s mighty strength,
Fading as the waves.
War-horse boasts in vain,
Power cannot buy escape,
Strength is all in pain.
Eyes upon His own,
Those who fear and trust His Love,
Standing not alone.
Rescued from the grave,
In the time of bitter dearth,
Living souls He saves.
Waiting on the Lord,
He is our defense and shield,
Truer than a sword.
Rejoicing in Him,
Trusting in His Holy Name,
Even when lights dim.
Let unfailing love
Rest upon us as we hope
In the
God Above.
