I was a girl who felt too much,
A little heart that loved too much.
I cried at things that others missed,
Found little magic in every kiss.
When I was young,
the sky was wide,
I kept my dreams close by my side.
I thought the world was soft and kind,
I thought I'd find what I had in mind.
I thought that life was beautiful,
That every road would lead me home.
But somewhere between then and now,
I lost the girl I used to know.
I came to Australia chasing dreams,
But nothing's ever what it seems.
I left my home,
I crossed the sea,
Thinking I'd finally find me.
But I'm tired of running,
Tired of pretending I'm strong.
I've been smiling through the silence,
Wondering where I went wrong.
I don't need a perfect life,
I don't need the world to stay.
I just want a little peace,
A place where my heart can breathe again.
If I can't have all my dreams,
Let me have myself at least.
After everything I've lost,
All I really want is peace.
Some nights I stare into the dark,
Trying to find my missing spark.
I miss the girl who used to dream,
Before life became so hard to breathe.
I miss the streets I used to know,
The voices that once felt like home.
Now every day I play along,
Saying I'm fine when I know I'm not.
Maybe growing up means losing Pieces of the person you were.
Maybe healing isn't going back,
Maybe it's learning to love who you are.
I came so far to chase a dream,
But somewhere I forgot what it means.
I've been searching everywhere to be free,
When maybe peace was inside of me.
And maybe one day I'll wake up And recognize my face again.
Maybe I'll forgive the younger me For believing dreams don't end.
I'll take the pieces of my heart,
The broken ones, the scars,
the tears. I'll carry every version of me That brought me through
these years.
I don't have to be who I was,
I don't have to know what's next.
Maybe peace is not a place—
Maybe peace is accepting myself.
So I'm done with running,
Done with pretending I'm strong.
I'll let myself feel everything
I've been hiding for so long.
I don't need a perfect life,
I don't need to have it all.
I just want a little peace When the world becomes too loud.
And if tomorrow brings new dreams,
I'll meet them slowly,
piece by piece. I've travelled so far to find myself— Now all
I want is peace.
Maybe I'm not lost forever,
Maybe I'm just finding me.
After all the roads I've travelled,
I think I'm finally learning to breathe.
I don't need the world to save me,
I just need my heart to speak.
After everything...
I think I finally need some peace.
