(mmm-hmmm) Old Barnaby lay out in the clover
Watching the lazy afternoon roll over
He saw a yellow stripe buzzing on a weed
And figured that was just the snack he'd need
He cocked his head,
let out a little whine
Eyeing that honey-maker on the vine
With a quick snap,
his jaws went shut (chomp)
Now Barnaby has got a swollen gut
Oh, he snapped at the bees and he learned today
Some little bugs don't like to play
Now his muzzle is twice its normal size
With a sad look in his puppy dog eyes
He's shaking his head,
rubbing his snout
Wondering what that buzz was all about I gave him a spoonful
of sweet remedy
But he's still mad at the apple tree
Oh, he snapped at the bees and he learned today
Some little bugs don't like to play
Now his muzzle is twice its normal size
With a sad look in his puppy dog eyes
No more snapping at the hive,
Barnaby (whining)
Just stick to chasing squirrels
