The Infinite Dark II
Between the stars, where silence reigns supreme,
A canvas black with diamonds cold and bright,
Where nebulae drift like some forgotten dream,
And galaxies spin slow through endless night.
The sun, a spark among a billion more,
Its planets caught in gravity's embrace,
While comets trace the paths they traced before,
And asteroids drift through the void of space.
WHERE DOES IT BEGIN
WHERE DOES IT
END
HAS IT ALWAYS BEEN HERE THERE ARE ALWAYS NEW frontiers NEW frontiers
NEW frontiers
Where Jupiter stands guard with crimson eye,
And Saturn wears its rings like crowns of ice,
Where Neptune's storms have raged since time gone by,
And Pluto wanders, cold beyond all price.
The Milky Way, a river made of light,
Ten thousand light-years wide from edge to core,
Where ancient suns have burned and lost their fight,
And new ones rise from dust to burn once more.
WHERE DOES IT BEGIN
WHERE DOES IT END
HAS IT ALWAYS BEEN HERE
THERE ARE ALWAYS NEW frontiers NEW frontiers NEW frontiers
Beyond our reach, the universe expands,
Dark matter weaves through everything unseen,
Where time itself bends under gravity's hands,
And black holes swallow
all that falls between.
We stand on Earth and lift our eyes above,
To wonder at the vast and starlit sea,
A species born of stardust,
loss, and love, Reaching for what we were always meant to be.
WHERE DOES IT BEGIN
WHERE DOES IT END
HAS IT ALWAYS BEEN HERE
THERE ARE ALWAYS NEW frontiers NEW frontiers NEW frontiers
