No other prayed like Jesus prayed,
In dark Gethsemane.
No birds sang sweetly where He kneeled To pray for you
and me.
No flowers awoke or vigil kept
As Jesus prayed alone,
In tears, in sweat and blood He wept,
Forsaken by His own.
By sinners He was crucified,
They nailed Him to the tree;
No other died like Jesus died,
In shame and agony.
My Savior left His Father’s House
And came to earth to
die,
For sinners lost, He paid the cost,
And rose triumphantly!
When sorrows come, trust Jesus then:
He understands and cares;
For every prayer you send to Heaven
Grows like a flower so
fair.
No other pleads like Jesus pleads,
For me, so
tenderly.
Oh, praise His Name,
He’s still the same,
As there on Calvary!
