the silence, I hear my name, A

dying spark inside the

rain. If I was born

to fall

apart, Why is there thunder in my heart?

I walked alone through empty streets,

With shattered dreams beneath my feet.

The world had turned its back on me,

I lost the man I used to be.

Every scar became a story,

Every tear concealed the pain.

I was drowning in the shadows,

Still I reached beyond the rain.

I hear a voice inside the storm,

A burning truth I can't ignore.

Though all my hope has turned to dust,

I'll rise again because I must.

I've got broken wings,

but I still can fly,

Through the darkest clouds,

to the endless sky.

Let the heavens fall,

let the oceans rise,

You can break my soul,

but you'll never take my light.

I'm not afraid of the fire below,

I'll be the flame that the darkness can't own.

Though my broken wings are bleeding tonight,

I'll rise,

I'll rise — into the light!

I see the ruins of yesterday,

But I won't let them lead my way.

All the promises that turned to stone,

Taught my heart to stand alone.

There is a warrior beneath this skin,

A thousand battles left to win.

And if the world should call me weak,

I'll let my actions learn to speak.

If I fall, let the earth remember,

I was more than the pain I knew.

From the ashes, I'll stand forever,

With a heart the dark can't undo.

No more hiding, no surrender,

I can see the dawn breaking through.

These broken wings will carry me higher,
