Idaho Bound- Been There Done That.
Been here forever, but we’re done with the race,
Northern Virginia and that breakneck pace.
Packed up on Wednesday,
watched those brake lights glow,
Turned toward the mountains — “Oh,
Idaho, let’s go!” Packed up our memories,
headed out west, Friends say we’re crazy,
but we know what’s best.
That Idaho sunset lit up the sky,
We looked at each other,
said, “My, oh my!”
Ain’t nothing wrong with where we’ve been,
But a brand-new chapter’s about to begin.
The past gets smaller with every mile,
And we’re wearing that big Idaho smile!
Like a rearview mirror — been there,
done that! We ain’t looking back,
no, we ain’t looking back!
Left those brake lights miles away,
Found our new home,
and we’re here to stay!
Crystal-clear rivers and skies so blue,
A whole lotta living we still wanna do.
We loved where we came from,

Jeff’s on the fairway,
Deanna’s in the sun,
Little Lu Lu’s right there,
having all the fun.
Coffee on the patio,
watching the green, Feels like we’re living in a postcard scene.
Hiking through the foothills,
skiing fresh snow,
Tubing down the Boise where the clear waters flow.
Neighbors wave hello like good neighbors do,
A whole valley of friends under skies so blue.
Like a rearview mirror — been there,
done that! We ain’t looking back,

Tried to clear that canyon — what a wild sight!
Grand Tetons look pretty in a postcard frame,
But those Sawtooth Mountains put ’em to shame!
Here’s to the best years and that Idaho blue,
A million little things we can’t wait to do.
Retirement’s calling, and we’re right on track,
Windshield full of dreams,
and we ain’t looking back!
