Shining Light

You wake up early,

before the sun Making sure there's enough for everyone

You give so much and ask so little You make the hard

days feel a little less difficult

You wipe my tears when I want to cry

Tell me I'm strong when I don't know why

And even when the world feels cold You're the warmest hand I

can hold

You're an amazing mum,

you're my shining light My safe little place when the world isn't

right You've given me love in a million ways Through all of

the storms and the sunniest days And if I could give you

the whole world somehow It still wouldn't be enough for you now

'Cause no words could ever explain what you've done

I'm so lucky to call you my mum

You've stayed up late when I've been unwell

You've been there for stories I needed to tell You know when

I'm hurting, even when I hide And somehow you always stay by

my side You cheer me on when I think I can't You

help me stand when I need a hand

You teach me kindness,

you show me what's true And every day I'm learning from you

You're an amazing mum,

you're my shining light My safe little place when the world isn't

right You've given me love in a million ways Through all of

the storms and the sunniest days And if I could give you

the whole world somehow It still wouldn't be enough for you now

'Cause no words could ever explain what you've done

I'm so lucky to call you my mum

One day I'll be older,

and time will fly But I'll never forget the lullabies The little

things you do that nobody sees The love you give so naturally

And when life gets busy and the years go by

I'll still see the love in your beautiful eyes No matter how

far my own dreams may run I'll always be your daughter,

your little one

You're an amazing mum,

my heart's best friend A love that won't break,

a love without end If I had a thousand lifetimes to live

A thousand times, your love I'd choose to give You're more than

a mum, you're my home and my heart And nothing could ever

tear that apart So here's all my love,

for all that you've done I'm forever grateful you're my mum

(forever grateful)

And if you ever wonder how much you mean

You're the kindest soul I've ever seen

The world is brighter because you're in it,

Mum

And loving you is where my story begun
