(howl) Black and tan coat with those golden eyes
Staring out past the porch,
watching the rise
He spots a flash of brown in the high clover
Before you know it,
his lazy day is over
Go get 'em, boy,
tear down the hill!
(go, go!) Over the creek and past the old mill
Those rabbits are fast but you're lightning bound
Best little hunter in this country town
Dust kicking up from his long front paws Running like he's defying
all gravity's laws
That rabbit slips beneath the old oak tree
He barks at the sky,
happy and free
(barking sound)
Go get 'em, boy,
tear down the hill!
(go, go!) Over the creek and past the old mill
Those rabbits are fast but you're lightning bound
Best little hunter in this country town
Heading back home,
collar jingling slow
Time to rest those tired paws,
don't you know (good boy)
