Woke up this morning,

looking at the man i use to be...

Carrying old scars, trapped beneath my skin

Every wrong turn,

every road I chose Built the lessons that only hard living knows

I’m leaving yesterday behind

One step at a time

I’m making changes, breaking these chains Walking through the fire,

dancing in the rain No more excuses,

no more hiding pain

I’m making changes, and I’ll never be the same

The mirror tells stories of battles I survived But hope keeps calling

me, saying I’m still alive The world keeps spinning,

but my heart has found a way To build a better life

than the one I use to know I

can feel the sunrise growing Lighting up my soul
