The Rose Mother Planted For Me by T.L. Newton

(hummmmm) I’m going back home in the valley…

To mother’s old home by the hill…

The roses still grow by the window,

And memories are living there still….

I’ll wear the white rose mother planted for me;

Her heart full of love so divine,…

And there I will stay,

just to linger and pray,

For her love to me

is a shrine;…

When shadows are falling I hear her sweet voice,

Through the window where roses entwine…

I will wear a white rose on my heart today,

That was planted by sweet mother mine…

The days of my youth in the valley…

Come rushing once more into view…

And mother I see by the roses,

Still smiling on me

all day through….

I’ll wear the white rose mother planted for me;

Her heart full of love so divine,…

And there I will stay,

just to linger and pray,

For her love to me

is a shrine;…

When shadows are falling I hear her sweet voice,

Through the window where roses entwine…

I will wear a white rose on my heart today,

That was planted by sweet mother mine… (ahhhh) (hummmmm) (ahhhh)
