(hummmm) It is more than believing what eyes cannot see,
A surrendered heart bending down upon the knee.
For we hold not the reins of the storm or the wind,
We put our whole life in the hands of our King.
Faith is the walk and the work of the soul,
Letting go of the tiller and trusting control!
Either ye do or ye do not stand fast,
Anchor your hope
in the First and the Last.
Look at a child when the winter fires burn,
They trust in the wonder before they can learn.
No question of doubt in their wide open eyes,
So trust in the Maker of earth and the skies.
Not idle words, but the deeds that we do,
Walking the road with a purpose anew.
Faith is the walk and the work of the soul,
Letting go of the tiller and trusting control!
Either ye do or ye do not stand fast,
Anchor your hope in the First and the Last.
(oh, stand fast)
Seek and ye find,
so the Good Shepherd said,
Fed on the Word like the wine and the bread.
In constant communion, in prayer on the hill,
Gathered together
to follow His will.
Faith is the walk
and the work of the soul,
Letting go of the tiller and trusting control!
Either ye do or ye do not stand fast,
Anchor your hope in the First and the Last!
(yeah, trust in the Lord)
Pray without ceasing, each hour of the day...
Trust in His hand,
and walk in the way. (ahhhh)
