Fajr Awakening

Before the city wakes…

Before the morning light…

I hear the call…

Hayya ’alas-salah…

Ya Allah…

Guide me through the night.

Midnight fades, and the skyline turns blue,

Quiet streets, but my heart turns to You,

I was running all night,

trying to find my way,

Then the call of Fajr brought a brand-new day.

Ya Rabbi, keep my heart awake,

Give me strength with every step I take,

No matter what yesterday brought,

I find my peace in the faith I’ve got.

The world gets loud,

but I hear that sound,

Five prayers keep my feet on the ground,

From Kuwait nights to the morning sun,

I lift my hands — Your will be done.

يا الله، يا رحمن

Keep me close, take my hand,

When the darkness disappears,

Your light is always near.

Fajr, Fajr — wake my soul

Ya Allah, take control La ilaha illallah

Allah, Allah — You’re my light Fajr,

Fajr — morning call

Ya Allah, hear me when I call La ilaha illallah Allah,

Allah — through it all

Fajr… Fajr…

Ya Allah… La ilaha illallah…

Allah… Allah…

Yeah— Sun ain’t up,

but I’m already moving,

Heart locked in, got nothing to prove and I been through

nights where the road got rough,

Still said Alhamdulillah, that was enough.

Sabr in my heart,

faith in my chest,

When I leave it with Allah,

I can finally rest,

No flex, no fear,

no need for applause,

I follow my faith,

I remember the Cause.

Clock hits Fajr, I answer the call,

Drop to my knees,

let my worries fall,

Every sajdah takes me closer to peace,

Every prayer reminds me my soul can breathe.

From the desert heat to the ocean breeze,

Ya Rabbi, put my heart at ease,

Tomorrow unknown, but I know who’s near,

Allah beside me — I don’t walk in fear.

يا الله،

يا رحمن

Keep me close, take my hand,

When the first light touches the sky,

I lift my hands,

I close my eyes,

Ya Allah, forgive my past,

Give me faith that will always last.

أشهد أن لا

إله إلا الله

أشهد أن محمدًا رسول الله

The night is gone… The morning comes… My heart says…

La ilaha illallah.
