Tyler’s Song
(ooh-ooh) Doctor said the road might bend a little rough
Small hands missing pieces from the start
But his mama held him close and whispered tough God poured extra
fire in his heart
Now he's tying up his boots at half past five
Proudest little boy that is alive
They count what's gone,
he counts what's there
Throws a baseball straight into the air
That's Tyler running circles round the doubt
Showing this whole town what grace is all about
He'll steal your heart before you even blink Way ahead of everything
they used to think
Yeah he's climbing every fence and standing tall
Tyler proves he's bigger than it all
He's building towers out in the red dirt clay
Reading chapters way beyond his years
Gone through surgery and quiet hospital days Turned every struggle into conquered
fears
His daddy grins and wipes a happy tear
Says that boy's the bravest spirit here
They count what's gone,
he counts what's there
Climbing branches up into
the air
That's Tyler running circles round the doubt
Showing this whole town what grace is all about He'll steal your
heart before you even blink
Way ahead of everything they used to think
Yeah he's climbing every fence and standing tall
Tyler proves he's bigger than it all
(bigger than it all)
There ain't a mountain
he won't learn to scale
No odds too steep,
no way he's gonna fail
Look in his eyes and you will surely see
A stubborn streak of pure tenacity
That's Tyler running circles round the doubt
Showing this whole town what grace is all about He'll steal your
heart before you
even blink
Way ahead of everything they used to think
Yeah he's climbing every fence and standing tall
Tyler proves he's bigger than it all (yeah he's standing tall)
He's loved beyond the sky and every star
Just the way you are,
boy
Just the way you are
