Dog Escape

(howl) Little ears popping up from the grass Looking for a friend as

the shadows pass He does a little skip,

tries to find a game But the big dark hound doesn't play

the same

Run rabbit, run, he just wants to chase!

(go, go!) No time to stop,

it's a backyard race

He wanted a friend but he got a hound

Fastest little paws in this country town

Just a simple game of tag in the yard

But keeping ahead of those paws is hard

One quick leap and a zig-zag turn That friendly old pup's got

a lesson to learn

(barking sound)

Run rabbit, run, he just wants to chase!

(go, go!) No time to stop,

it's a backyard race

He wanted a friend but he got a hound

Fastest little paws in this country town

Safe in the hedge,

breathing soft and slow

While the tired pup heads on home,

don't you know

(good boy)
