Anchored in Grace
You were there
when the sky turned gray
You found the words I could not say
With a patient heart
and an open door
You gave me strength to keep reaching for more
Every blessing has a story
Every story has your name
When I count the ways God kept me
Your love
is part of the praise
My best friend, my answered prayer
A faithful heart, always there Through every valley,
every climb You make the hard days feel like light
May the Lord hold you close and strong
Fill your heart with a brand-new song
I thank God for the gift you are My best friend,
my guiding star
You celebrate the good I find And bring me peace when I
lose my mind
No perfect words,
no grand display
Just faithful love
in the ordinary days
Every blessing has a story
Every story has your name
When I count the ways God kept me
Your love
is part of the praise
My best friend, my answered prayer
A faithful heart, always there Through every valley,
every climb You make the hard days feel like light
May the Lord hold you close and strong
Fill your heart with a brand-new song
I thank God for the gift you are My best friend,
my guiding star
If the night comes,
I will stand with you
If your faith shakes,
I’ll remind you what is true
Grace has carried us this far
And grace
will meet us where we are
My best friend, my answered prayer
A faithful heart,
always there
Through every valley,
every climb You make the hard days feel like light
May the Lord hold you close and strong Fill your heart with
a brand-new song I thank
God for the gift you are My best friend,
my guiding star
Choir, lift it up,
let the whole world know Some friendships are blessings that forever grow
I thank God for you (thank God for you)
I thank God for you
