If God isn't there then who holds the Heavens,
And who hung the earth upon nothing in space?
If God didn’t form all the past
and the future,
What would then be the need to seek His love and grace?
No more doubting will rise,
no more cloudy skies.
He quiets the storm
that round me roll,
And I’m not afraid,
in Him safely hide.
God is there for I rest in my soul,
in my soul.
If God isn’t there
then who molds tomorrow,
And who made the moon to mark the months and days?
If God didn’t move
in the midst
of the shadows,
With a transforming power
He turns mist away.
We have resting and peace,
in His dwelling place.
No one can be known
like Him above;
If He isn’t here
what is this song I hear?
God is there for I hide in His love,
in His love.
If God isn’t there
then who sent the Savior,
And who died for you and me on Calvary?
Our God ever lives
in the hearts of His people,
By each look of His love
new truths are borne to me.
You see lasting reward,
if you love the Lord.
No love such as His
never will depart;
He becomes so real
because His touch I feel.
God is there for He lives in my heart,
in my heart.
