Cartridge Clash
(chk-chk) Convoy
stopped.
(grrrrr) Armored glass cracking under black road heat Ten tons rolling down
a dead-end street (snarl) Fuel line severed and the convoy stalled Look
at how the mighty little soldiers crawled "Don't look outside,
darling..." Forty round mag clicked flush in the well Spilling out brass
like a cracked church bell (chk-clack) Rotten on the bumper,
clawing at the hood Told you this shortcut never did no good
"They smell your blood,
sweetie!" Straight-eight sprint, watch the red dial jump Hit the front breach
with a twelve-gauge pump!
CUT THE BRAKES! TEAR THE DOOR!
PULL 'EM OUT ACROSS THE FLOOR!
(yeah!) NOTHING LEFT BUT BROKEN GLASS!
WATCH THE FIRE EAT THE GRASS!
CUT THE BRAKES! HOLD THE LINE!
EVERYBODY RUNS OUT OF TIME!
Smoke in the cabin,
rubber burn stench
Clutch pedal jammed with a cold steel wrench (snarl)
Turret gun jammed, hear the dry firing click
Clawing through the mesh real ugly and thick "You dropped your sidearm,
lover..." Scraping off the fender,
teeth on the grill Panic in the radio,
quiet and shrill Belt-fed spitting through a rusted out grate Too late,
captain, shut the steel blast gate!
"Nobody's coming to save you!" Concrete shattered by an iron shoe sprint
Catching up close with a razor blade glint!
CUT THE BRAKES! TEAR THE DOOR!
PULL 'EM OUT ACROSS THE FLOOR!
(burn!) NOTHING LEFT BUT BROKEN GLASS!
WATCH THE FIRE EAT THE GRASS!
CUT THE BRAKES! HOLD THE LINE!
EVERYBODY RUNS OUT OF TIME!
They breach the hatch,
the bolts give way (creeeeak) No morning comes to clear the gray
"Say goodnight to the driver,
honey..." Dry fire, magazine running bone-dry Look at that swarm looking down
from the sky One spark,
fuel tank, light up the barricade!
(hahaha!) CUT THE BRAKES!
TEAR THE DOOR! PULL 'EM OUT ACROSS THE FLOOR!
(let it burn!)
NOTHING LEFT BUT BROKEN GLASS!
WATCH THE FIRE EAT THE GRASS!
CUT THE BRAKES! HOLD THE LINE!
EVERYBODY RUNS OUT OF TIME!
"Told you not to stop." (grrrr)
