Grandpa’s Comeback
Soldier Field, turn the lights up bright,
The Bears are down,
but we're still in the fight!
Three quarters gone, everybody's in doubt,
But the Monsters of the Midway are about to break
out!
Twenty-one to nothing, man,
we're looking real bad,
Grandpa's on the couch,
and he's starting to get mad.
Throwing down his chips,
yelling, "BENCH THAT GUY!" Saying,
"I've been a Bears fan since nineteen sixty-five!"
Fourth quarter starts, and the whole team wakes,
Defense hitting hard, making quarterbacks shake.
Caleb drops back, launches one downfield,
TOUCHDOWN, CHICAGO! Now the comeback's real!
One score, two scores,
the lead's getting thin,
The other team's wondering how the hell we'll win.
The crowd's going crazy,
the stadium shakes, The Bears are on fire,
and the whole earth quakes!
Bears come back in the fourth quarter!
Get that football, take no orders!
Down by twenty, now we're taking the lead,
Monsters of the Midway,
giving Chicago what they need!
Grandpa's yelling, "THIS CAN'T BE REAL!"
Clutch plays, touchdowns, steel of steel!
He had a heart attack from the comeback attack,
The Bears came back and they ain't looking back! (yeah!)
Two minutes left, and we're down by four,
Grandpa's pacing circles all around the floor.
He's got his lucky jersey,
he's praying to the sky,
Screaming, "PLEASE, BEARS, DON'T LET MY BLOOD PRESSURE FLY!" Fourth and ten,
got the season on the line,
Quarterback drops back, throws a pass so fine.
CAUGHT AT THE FIVE!
HE'S RUNNING IT IN!
TOUCHDOWN, BEARS! LET THE MADNESS BEGIN!
Grandpa jumps up, knocks his soda on the floor,
Runs around the living room,
yelling, "BEARS BY FOUR!" The neighbors call the cops 'cause the whole
house shakes, And Grandpa needs a timeout for his own heart's sake!

GRANDPA'S SCREAMING, LOSING HIS MIND!
THE GREATEST COMEBACK OF ALL DAMN TIME!
Final whistle blows, and the scoreboard shines,
Bears win the game,
and the city goes wild!
Grandpa's on the couch,
got his hand on his chest,
Says, "I've seen a lot of Bears games,
but THAT was the best!"
The whole family's laughing,
the victory's sweet,
Chicago's dancing in the middle of the street.
From the first quarter struggles to the final attack,
NEVER COUNT THE CHICAGO BEARS OUT OF A COMEBACK!

BEARS TAKE FLIGHT! CHICAGO'S TAKING OVER TONIGHT!
DOWN BY TWENTY,
NOW WE'RE ON TOP!
BEARS KEEP FIGHTING, AND THEY NEVER STOP!
GRANDPA'S HEART CAN'T HANDLE THE DRAMA!
SOMEBODY GET THAT MAN HIS PAJAMAS!
THE CLOCK HITS ZERO,
THE COMEBACK'S COMPLETE! CHICAGO BEARS PUT THE LEAGUE ON REPEAT!
BEAR DOWN! BEAR DOWN!
LET THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW!
