Ripped shoes on their feet,

no coat in the cold,

Facing playground bullies making them feel small and old.

But a teacher notices,

yeah, they spot the true need,

They reach out to BFF to plant a better seed.

No loud announcements, no flashing the lights,

We do it under the radar to protect their basic rights.

A secret package waiting right by the desk,

Putting their dignity and confidence straight to their hearts.

new backpack—that's it! Empowering their spirits with confidence and grace,

So they can face the bullies with a smile on their face!

We are teaching young hearts how to stand and believe,

Used to walk with their head down,

now they're standing tall.

New backpack on their shoulders,

they're on the right track.

The bully doesn't matter,

the whispers fade away,

They took the NVP pledge,

and they chose a better day.

A teacher saw a need,

a sponsor said a prayer,

Now a child knows that somebody out there cares.
