Monday morning…
Nine fifteen…
Just a normal guy…
Living a normal dream.
Walked into the bank,
Needed twenty bucks.
Then somebody shouted… “EVERYBODY GET DOWN!” Wait… WHAT?!
Woke up late, couldn’t find my shoes,
Burnt my toast while watching the news.
Walked downtown with a coffee in hand,
Had absolutely nothing interesting planned.
Stepped in the bank,
just to get some cash,
Then the alarms went off with a great big crash!
Someone dropped a bag,
I picked it off the floor,
Next thing I knew I was running out the door!
Police lights flashing, everybody screamed,
I thought, “Man, this has gotta be a dream!” Looked in the
bag and my face turned white,
A hundred thousand dollars staring back at my eyes!
Oh no, oh no,
I don’t know where to go!
Oh no, oh no,
Why’s everybody yelling, “GO!”?
I was just a normal guy,
Never even told a lie… Well… THAT WAS BEFORE TONIGHT!
OOPS! I’M A CRIMINAL!
(HEY!) DIDN’T MEAN TO,
BUT HERE WE GO!
(WOAH!) OOPS! I’M A CRIMINAL!
(HEY!) WENT FOR TWENTY,
LEFT WITH GOLD! CHA-CHING!
BAD IDEA!
BUT I’M SMILING EAR TO EAR!
OH-OH-OH! WHAT A LIFE!
WENT FROM BORING TO WANTED OVERNIGHT!
OOPS-OOPS!
HERE WE GO! WHOOPS-WHOOPS!
NOBODY KNOWS! OOPS! I’M A CRIMINAL!
AND I THINK I LIKE IT MORE THAN I SHOULD!
Doo-doo-doo, da-da-daa! (hahaha) Doo-doo-doo,
ha-ha-ha!
BAD LUCK!
GOOD TIME! SOMEBODY TELL ME WHEN I CROSSED THAT LINE!
One week later, got a brand-new coat,
Dark sunglasses and a mysterious note.
Everybody whispers when I walk down the street,
Got a little extra swagger and a bounce in my feet.
Used to be nervous,
used to be shy,
Now I’m watching helicopters circle through the sky.
Got a blacked-out car and a dangerous grin,
I know I should quit,
but I’m loving the spin!
My friend said, “Dude,
you should turn yourself in!” I said,
“Maybe tomorrow,” with a mischievous grin.
Bought a fancy suit,
got a nickname too,
They call me “Accident,” and the name just grew!
I know it’s trouble,
I know it’s wrong,
But I can’t stop dancing when the sirens come on!
Used to fear the spotlight,
now I’m stealing the show,
And every time the bass hits,
I go— Oh no,
oh no, I’m getting used to the show!
Oh no,
oh no, Now I don’t wanna go home!
Started with a little mistake,
Now I’m wide awake…
I THINK I LOVE THIS GAME!
OOPS! I’M A CRIMINAL!
(HEY!) DIDN’T MEAN TO,
BUT HERE WE GO!
(WOAH!) OOPS! I’M A CRIMINAL!
(HEY!) WENT FOR TWENTY,
LEFT WITH GOLD! CHA-CHING!
BAD IDEA! BUT I’M SMILING EAR TO EAR!
OH-OH-OH! WHAT A LIFE!
WENT FROM BORING TO WANTED OVERNIGHT!
OOPS-OOPS! HERE WE GO!
WHOOPS-WHOOPS! NOBODY KNOWS! OOPS!
I’M A CRIMINAL! AND I THINK I LIKE IT MORE THAN I
SHOULD!
Yesterday I paid my bills,
Went to work from nine till five.
Never thought I’d miss the thrill Of running for my life.
I should probably make things right,
Put the money back someday… But when the city calls my name…
I JUST CAN’T WALK AWAY!
“Suspect spotted downtown.”
“He’s wearing a black suit.” “Is he running?”
“No, sir…”
“He’s dancing.”
Started as a nobody,
now I’m on the news,
Got a hundred different rumours and a thousand different views.
Got a life full of chaos,
got a story to tell,
And a very bad habit of doing too well!
Everywhere I go, hear the sirens in the street,
Everywhere I turn, got a brand-new beat.
I’m not some genius with a master plan,
Just a very lucky,
very confused man!
