Hold Close
When I could not see the morning
You were there to call my name
With a heart that kept believing
You reminded me of grace
I can feel the hand of heaven
In the kindness that you give
Every time you stood beside me
You taught my heart to live
You are a blessing in my life
A faithful light through every night
When I am weak,
you help me stand
You hold my heart with open hands
May the Lord surround your way
With mercy new in every day
I thank God for the friend you are
A gift of grace,
a shining star
You have seen my tears and laughter
Never turned your heart away
Through the changing of the seasons
You have loved me just the same
I can feel the hand of heaven
In the kindness that you give
Every time you stood beside me
You taught my heart to live
You are a blessing in my life
A faithful light through every night
When I am weak,
you help me stand
You hold my heart with open hands
May the Lord surround your way
With mercy new in every day I thank God for the friend
you are
A gift of grace,
a shining star
When your road is long and lonely
I will meet you where you are
What you poured into my spirit
Lives forever in my heart Grace has carried us together Love will
never let us go I will lift your name in praise
Everywhere your journey flows
You are a blessing in my life
A faithful light through every night
When I am weak,
you help me stand
You hold my heart with open hands
May the Lord surround your way With mercy new in every day
I thank God for the friend you are
A gift of grace,
a shining star
Choir, sing her blessing,
sing it clear May the Lord be with her year by year
I thank God for the friend you are
A gift of grace,
a shining star
